Use hybrid-safe metal cookware specifically labeled for microwave-convection use, or stick to glass and silicone when using any microwave function. When in doubt, place a small piece of foil in the oven empty and run for 10 seconds on microwave mode; if it sparks, keep all metal out of that mode.
